1/4 of a century

going to be 24 soon....

I have spent almost a quarter of century.... what have I done???

Let's c....

I was born in Taiping... I spent my childhood in Taiping and Kota Bharu (only a short period of time)... Then, I studied my kindergarten in Kuala Terengganu...

I remember that I was punished by teacher in kindergarten for cannot understand her instruction in Mandarin.... I remember that my english-educated mum taught me how to differentiate the 撇 (one stroke which is to right) and 捺 (another smooth curve to left).... I remember when teacher asked, "who is still using feeding bottle to drink milk?" A boy put up his hand right after teacher had finished the question.... and I was the one who did not admit it.....

oh yeah.... I always went to my uncle's room... back in those time... i had no siblings... only me alone and my neighbours who were all boys.... i often asked him, "why Michael Jackson can lean like this?"

and i always fell on his mattress.... duh.... and my uncle liked to bully me... there was one evening, i saw him happily eating something which is yellow in colour.... I asked him to let me taste it... he said no... (told ya, he's bad)... then, i took the skin that he peeled off from the yellow food and showed it to mum... then, only i realised that that yellow colour thingy is MANGO... haha... since my mum knew it, finally I got to taste it... yummy... haha...

my toys... i had barbie... yes... a real barbie... hehe... and i had my masak-masak set with TV set... then, a lot of dolls..... and i had Roger rabbit and friends (i got this from KFC).. wat else... i had a snooker set... i had an army of soldiers.... i had fire brigade as well... i had those tranformers-like cars..... i had never played the paper doll where you can change the paper clothes for her... never... that' s so fake.... i prefer barbie...

and I grew up watching TVB series... yeah... since i was small, i was glued to TV... watching cartoons... Mickey Mouse (I watched the black and white mickey as well... i remember mickey is on the train... ) Tom and Jerry, Roadrunner (beep... beep...), captain planet (water, fire, earth.... ), care bears, Smurf, Ultraman, Baja Hitam, Power Rangers, Doraemon, Duck Tales (Uncle Scrooge and 3 cute duckies... duck tales... wuhoo... duck tales... wuhoo... ), woodpecker, barney, sesame street, art attack......

Continued my Primary 1 to Primary 4 in the famous Chinese school in KT --> SJK (C) Chung Hwa Wei Sin. I was in the second-last or third last class in Primary 1... this made my mum so worry about it.... I was the assistant class monitor back in primary 1....

And I remember one funny incident.... my grandpa gave me a gold watch... i wore it to school.... And a teacher asked me, "is that a real one?"... And i replied, "yes." hahaha.... back in those time, I thought that teacher is stupid... of course, the watch is a real watch. If not, how can i wear it??? As I grow older, I finally understand what the teacher was trying to ask.... haha.....

then, back in primary school.... I have a group of sisters... yeah... sisters gang... so, we arranged ourself according to our birthdates... if i'm not mistaken, I think I should be the 3rd or 4th sis.... and I was in choir team.... yes.... I sing....  so, in Primary 2 till 4, i studied in first class... The first class is red (M), then yellow (K), blue (B) and so on.....

during those time, I read comics.... doraemon... and guess what... doraemon in Malay.... haha... i could get only Malay version Doraemon comics in Kuala Terengganu.... guess I picked up my Malay vocab by reading comics.... then, I read the Malay detective stories... Siri Salmah.... only rm2.5 per book.. so cheap...

and in Primary 3, i threw up in the class.... haha.... I looked forward for the moral class the most... coz i don't have to attend the moral class as teacher selected a few of us to have intensive training for our Mandarin and Malay tests.... oh yeah... before i left the school to Kajang, I was in Malay dancing team as well....

Then, I moved to Kajang when I was in Primary 4 with my cute little sis who always bite her Minnie Mouse.... ewww... with her saliva drooling... yucks....

SJK(C) Sg Chua..... sometimes, I went to spend time in my friend's house who was nearby my house....

In Primary 5, I went to Langkawi.... SJK (C) Chung Hwa.... hhmmm... We had to stay back after class because we had tuition class for UPSR... so, we had some 1-hr break before our tuition in school.... We walked all the way to the nearest grocery store to buy junk food... there was one time that a friend of mine offered to give me a ride by taking her bicycle.... and FYI, i don't know how to ride bicycle.... and I fell from the bicycle... sigh.... was scolded by mum for this....

I made friends with a Korean classmate and a Chinese classmate... not that close with the Korean classmate coz she was tall and I was short... haha... I am still not tall now... I had chance to practise the Chinese way of Mandarin with her... which I think even nowadays I don't have too much of Malaysian Mandarin accent... not too much....

Then, the first few months of my secondary school started in Langkawi... Langkawi doesn't have any SMJK.... so, I entered SMK Mahsuri.... that was the first time I had classes with other races in school.... (as in back in primary, I still have classmates from other races... but they are in minority).... i learnt the word "Hang"... Hang (Malay) means you.... guess i started to brush up my Malay in that few months...

spent only a few months of my Secondary 1 in Langkawi, then I moved to Ipoh.... SMK Ave Maria Convent.... haha.... a famous girl school which is very hard for you to join... sigh... even my sis can't get into this school eventhough we are staying so near to it... hng.... I have no reason why i managed to get into this school without sponsoring any table, chair, fan or hall for the school....  anyway, i spent my secondary life happily in this school... everyday, I walk to school.... and i walk back to house.... whenever i forgot to bring anything to school, i still can run all the way back to get it (of course, it's before school hour starts).... i joined Leo Club... which I think i have learned a lot throughout my Leo life.... always went out on Saturdays to attend activities that are organised by other Leo Clubs....

not to forget, the vest.... aaawww.... i miss the vest.... The vest is passed from one fiscal year to the BOD of the next fiscal year.... and it's with a lot of badges..... met good friends whom I still keep in touch until now...

we organised activities... and I created those souvenirs... mummy in a coffin, fish in a chicken essence bottle, a cloth hanger for booklet.... and it was that time, that i realised that i have probs in my Cantonese pronunciation... I couldn't differentiate between 旧街场 and 旧鸡场... uncle taxi driver pointed it out to me while my fren who was taking the same cab laughed at me.... T.T

after form 5, opted STPM... and I spent 2 years in SMK Sam Tet... a boy school...  USST and sixth form society.... what did i do???? I never went back to library to study after school hours.... I often go to ipoh parade which is just opposite my school.... I was busy with activities... and I like to spend my time joining activities and lepak at USST room... haha... oh yeah... organised a camp in a school at Cameron... gosh... i never realised that school is very scary at night especially in a windy night.... ewww... horrible... FYI, that camp had only 2 to 3 gals included me... the rest were boys... however, it was a fun as I never tried to have camp in school... Leo club never did that.... haha... maybe leo club has a lot of money.... haha... i played a CNY sketch.... and I was the grandma in the sketch... Ggrrr... why me.... I skipped class to go for dim sum with my pork chops friends... and we were caught red-handed... damn... but it's a good experience... hehe...

in UM.... lots of interesting cases happened here... joined a lot of activities.... met a lot of people... in uni, i think it's a potray of our society... our society is sick... and our undergrad are sick as well... no politics in uni.... yeah yeah yeah yeah... i'm a 5-yr-old kid.... been to a lot of bombastic life in uni... went out for yam cha and continued with dim sum in the morning.... juggled between meetings, assignments, tests, practicals, lectures, projects.... and yet, i still need to have yam cha session.... all the fun, exciting, thrilling moments in uni.... squeezed 10+ people into a small little van because we had to run away from "something"...purposely have my fren red car to drive near to a college to see what is happening... some meetings...

I'M LAZY

I know I'm lazy....

I did not update my blog for a few months....

not my fault.... it's all because of my working life.... (yeah.... it's an excuse)

I can't imagine if i were to spend my whole life just working... working... working.... and working...

no way....

anyway, in these few month-time, there are some changes in my life....

1) yes... as i mentioned earlier, I have to work to earn money....

2) I'm no longer staying in Sek 17, PJ.... Currently, I'm staying in somewhere near Segambut, Jalan Duta, Solaris Mont Kiara there.... I have an air-cond with me.... Finally~~~ phew (FYI, I never missed air-cond for my sleeping time before I entered uni. haha) However, the sad thing is I have no roommates and housemates...
